Information

Before you start
Print out the template, and find a quiet spot to think, reflect and write. Remember: The aim is to keep your intro as concise as possible.
Focus on tying all the personal information you share back to the context at hand: Why you; why this session?
STEP 1
Take the template and start your introduction with the basics: What’s your name and profession? Depending on the context, you could add details like your age or location. After this opening sentence, make clear how you add value. What are your core competencies? In which field(s) do you have expertise? What drives you in your career?STEP 2
Be transparent in communicating what your role is and who you are. Keep it short and concrete. Your audience needs to know why you are in the position to lead this session, but don’t get lost in too many details!STEP 3
Elaborate on what you just wrote by adding more background information. What were the major steps in your career that brought you to today? These should not only reflect your job as such, but also your position as the facilitator of the session. Have you successfully led other, similar groups to their desired outcome?STEP 4
Make yourself relatable by sharing a bit of personal information. Something that drives you at the moment, a fun fact or what draws you specifically to the theme of the workshop.
