STEP 1

Find yourself a comfortable spot to sit, whether that’s a chair or the floor.

STEP 2

Set yourself a timer. Start with 5 minutes and extend this once you get more experienced.

STEP 3

Close your eyes, take a deep breath in through your nose while counting to three. Hold it for a second, then breathe out through your mouth while counting to six. It’s important that you try to focus on the counting. As soon as you notice your mind getting carried away by other thoughts, bring yourself gently back to the counting. Repeat this cycle until the timer goes off.

STEP 4

Open your eyes and reconnect calmly and smoothly to the space you’re in. Notice how it feels to be recharged again.
